Yes. Georgia has no comprehensive consumer data privacy law. A 2025 privacy bill (SB 473) failed to pass, leaving residents without the opt-out and deletion rights available in neighboring Tennessee (TIPA, effective July 1, 2025). Federal FCRA protections do apply: using lookup results for employment screening, tenant decisions, or credit and insurance underwriting is prohibited in Georgia just as in every other state.
Georgia doesn't have a privacy law, but you can still ask to be deleted from phone lookup sites. Look for opt-out forms on their privacy pages or contact support to request removal.
Phone numbers can be spoofed to appear as though they belong to legitimate companies. Although Georgia has over 258,377 business establishments reported by the U.S. Census, you should verify the business name by searching the Georgia Business Search.
Georgia has 12.7 million mobile subscriptions, 1.9 million VoIP lines, and 503,000 landlines. Mobile numbers make up the vast majority.
